This was a gift for my sister who installed the Blanco sink with a kitchen remodel, but did not purchase the grids. I LOVE my grids so much I wanted her to experience the benefits. Sink grids allow me to strain pasta without the pasta water back-flowing into the collander -- or having to be an octopus & lift the collander before it floods while pouring the boiling water. I love them because I can place knives & other items in the sink & be comfortable wooden handles won't get water-logged. It also comes in handy if cleaning & draining vegetables or using as a dish drain & keeping racks, etc. off the counter. With stainless steel sinks some merchants will tell you it is to keep from "scratching" the sink . . . that's a little odd to me since your kitchen sink should be a workhorse -- IT'S A KITCHEN SINK! LOL I also like the Blanco design since it has ready access to the drain closure.Seems like I have spent hours trying to find the right grid for our sink! Messaged Blanco but never got a reply. Did an on-line chat with another company who told me this was the grid I needed so I ordered it. I only wanted the right side (yes, the photo vs description was confusing) as we often wash things and leave them there to dry. The grid came in today and is of good quality and fits the sink bottom. However, you can see in the photo that the cutout overlaps part of the drain. I am wondering if others have this same fit or I have the wrong grid. ☹️This fits on top of an undercount sink, so you are actually fitting it on top of the counters. Most counter installers build in an overhanging lip that cause the cutting board to no longer fit. This board only fits if your counter is completely flush with the sides of the sink. Rather than removing the counter and recutting/polishing my sink opening, my installer is going to router the bottom of the cutting board to make it work. So while there is still a solution, be sure to buy this at the same time as your sink to have your installer ensure fitment. IMO, a better design would be for users to be able to adjust the mounting "groove" to align with their counter's hole.Grates are high quality and the fit is perfect.Fit perfectly on Blanco sinks, is higher on one side to off set the little slope on the sink, and after a year of heavy use still like brand new. I guess I should have paid more attention to the model I have.I was unsure if these grids were worth the price. But now that I have been using them, I strongly recommend them to anyone with a silgranit sink. Not only do they protect the sink from things dropped, but they also serve as an in-sink drying rack. They fit the sink exactly and do not shift around in the sink. These grids are worth twice their price.Fits Blanco Performa U2 sink right hand bowl. Amazon labels item as a left hand.Quality looks good, just incorrect label.
