I should start by saying my dog Emma burps more than a German at a beer garden after eating. My objective in trying this bowl was to reduce that indigestion that may be exasperated by eating from a bowl on the floor. I do believe this small $15 purchase has given me a opportunity to try this method. I have used both eating stands and slow eating bowls in the past but never together so I hope this gives my dog some relief. I am not sure what all the negative reviews are all about,, this is a case of you getting what you pay for, a nice sturdy stand with a enamel coated bowl. From the ground to the bottom of the bowl is 6.5" just enough to give a med size dog the ability to eat with their neck in a horizontal position. The capacity of the bowl accommodates the 1 cup of dry food and half a can of dry food I feed my pooch with enough space left to double that amount. The stand is more than stable enough unless you have a dog who is overly rambunctious and is a klutz. The end analysis is that this product makes me feel better for having once again tried to better my dogs life and in the process reduce the number of times she burps in my face. You won't be disappointment with this product IMHO.Update: 03/06/19 Reading my review you might gather I was very pleased with this low budget slow feeder. From the standpoint of the construction I am still pleased but here is one major caveat to my previous opinions of this feeder. Less than 6 months in I started to notice some small chipping on both the top and bottom of the bowl. On further inspection I noticed the bowl which is stated to be surgical stainless steel and after inspecting the chipping I found the bowl to be wrapped with a vinyl LOOKING material which not only made me further examine this bowl but also disappointed me to no end. Why in the world would a manufacturer take surgical grade SS and wrap the bowl with a unknown vinyl like liner that contrary to their claims does tear, it is actually a soft material incapable of chipping so small tears would be more accurate. They brag about the soft underside edge of the bowl is to allow our poor stressed out dogs to eat in peace without the bowl rattling, to me that is a terrible reason to cover up a otherwise perfect surgical grade SS, if indeed it is with a plastic/vinyl looking wrap? I don't get it but I **** canned my bowl and replaced it with a Pyrex bowl that fit perfectly so in the end I am glad I can utilize the stand but will be forever confused about the bowl part of the unit and for the price it isn't the loss of a few dollars it is more what have I been feeding my dog in the past 6 months.
