This is a great slow feeder bowl for my American bully as he inhales his food. He bloated while coming out of surgery so I got him a slow feeder since once a dog bloats it increases the chances of it happening again. Now he eats every meal out of the slow feeder as well as lays down for an hour after eating (which we have always had our dogs do anyway).I love the sturdiness of the bowl. It is easy to clean and it definitely got my pup to slow down when she eats.My high drive GSD eats too fast, and this product really helps slow down his eating. It takes longer for him to eat and he has to work at it. Slips around a little in the crate, but overall works very well.It holds about 7 cups and I free feed so I keep it full all the time for my 2 girls.Slowed my dog down, did what it was supposed to do!It’s a pretty big bowl, if you have a dog over 115 lbs, you may have to separate feedings because after a certain amount of food is added, it obviously reaches near the top of the bowl and is super easy for the dog to scarf.Our dog is 105 lbs and usually eats the first few bites quickly but then is forced to slow down.Not really a big deal to us. Get a bigger bowl if it would be for you!Great for large dogs!Very good at slowing rate of dog's eating. With kibble it works especially well. With soft food, not as much. It's hard to get the soft food into the narrow places. In spite of that, my dog who is fed a combination of kibble and soft food manages to lick the bowl clean each time!I have a large breed puppy, I got it to slow him down eating but i needed a bigger bowl for a larger amount of food. Its a great bowl but a little too deep for a dog with a flatter snout. Took him forever to eat, So much so that I felt bad for him
