Studied several single bowl sinks at the big box stores and online.Chose the Kraus-25 because of the specs and reviews. The sink arrived one day earlier than originally planned from Prime.Arrival day: shipping material was as sturdy and well designed as others have commented. The UPS driver actually placed the box in the entry way of the house when asked. The only unusual thing about the shipment, the box lid was not fastened to the remainder of the box. No tape, no anything except a friction lid, similar to a very large shoebox lid. Looked through contents, no damage and everything looked good.Day Two: studied the provided template and the template steps mentioned "provided fasteners." I could not find any "fasteners" or written instructions.Day Three: Looked at the Amazon site to determine how I could receive missing parts without returning whole shipment...no helps there. Called Kraus customer service...explained about the missing parts...they asked "which parts?" I said " all the parts used to connect the sink to counter," customer service asked, "which parts?" I said, "there is no parts list included," they said, "we do not provide that detailed of a list of parts." I said, " then how do I know which parts are missing?" customer service then became more defensive. "You mean the screws and nuts?" I said, "the template does not list, screws and nuts, only fasteners, clamps, etc." Kraus customer service said, " we can send you 8 screws and nuts." and I said, "if those are the missing parts, then send them."Kraus customer service then wanted a screen shot emailed to them of the Amazon order since they do not know anything about detailed Amazon orders...Amazon stocks the sinks at their warehouses. Kraus plans to send the "screws and nuts" in a day or two, then to arrive in a week or so.Day Four: If all appropriate parts do not arrive next week, I will exchange entire shipment through Amazon.[Will edit this review later after I receive the missing parts or exchange sink and then try to install.]Day Six: Kraus Customer Service "rushed" the parts order to the parts fulfillment department.Day Seven: Kraus notified UPS of package pickup.Day Eight: UPS released tracking number, they are using their "infamous and you'll get it late" UPS Surepost.Day Twelve: Received parts entitled: "Topmount-SS PART." These parts do not match KTM-25 installation manual I found at [...]. Will try to install sink using Kraus customer service provided parts in a day or two.Day Fourteen: Installed sink. Kraus customer service provided parts included cheap "plastic nut holder pieces" that are mostly garbage if one needs to secure the sink tight using the clamps. (I purchased Lowes' metric nuts to secure sink, their service was excellent). Over-all sink is good quality. It helps to have previous experience installing a sink. Conclusion: May purchase Kraus in the future. Will not purchase anything directly from Kraus. Next time, if I purchase anything through Amazon and there are missing parts, I will return the item(s) in full and seek a replacement if the missing parts are the only thing that are negative about the original product.I like that it's very quietThe stainless steel sink seems to be holding up under normal use, but I did buy a rack for pots and silverware to prevent scratching when we hand wash. We left a dirty cup overnight, and it left a stain. It came out after a few days so be careful with certain acidic items. I like the look as we did all Kraus.CAUTION - Per Kraus (the manufacturer), they do NOT recommend that this sink be installed in a LAMINATE countertop. I bought one of these about 3 months ago as I'm remodeling my kitchen and putting in all new cabinets and counters. It was well-packed and I opened the box and checked the unit for damage when it was delivered. It was fine. My project has been going slow because of delays and other problems beyond my control. My counters (laminate) are now in and I opened the box again yesterday and took out the sink getting ready to install it. But in looking at the sink, I had a question regarding the attachment of the mounting clips. I did NOT receive a Kraus installation guide with the sink - only a template and a Kraus product use and care guide showing a bunch of "do's and don'ts". There was nothing in the "don'ts" section about their not recommending that this unit be installed LAMINATE countertops. So I jumped onto Kraus' website and found a January 2018 installation guide for my sink. As I reading through it, it clearly stated that they do NOT recommend that this sink be installed in laminate countertops which is what I was getting ready to do. When I bought my sink, I thoroughly researched everything I could find including information, specs and reviews on several of the big-box store websites. I read NOTHING that indicated that this drop-in unit should not be installed in a laminate countertop. In fact, almost everything I read said that you SHOULD use a drop-in unit like this one for laminates and definitely not use under-mount ones. I even found videos on the web showing how to install other manufacturer's very similar stainless sinks into a laminated top. So I jumped on the phone and called Kraus' customer service department at 1-800-775-0703 and asked them what the exact problem was installing this sink in a laminated countertop. I was told that most laminate edges are not strong enough to hold this sink. I then told the Kraus rep that, in my opinion, that this information should be clearly stated in the product description info area on their seller's websites and pointed out that one big box store's description of this item said "This versatile sink can be mounted into kitchen counters made from solid surface to LAMINATE materials". Although Amazon's description doesn't say that, it's obvious looking at several of their reviews that some of their customers have installed these sinks into laminate countertops. Had I known that information when I was looking for a new sink, I would definitely not have purchased this one. The Kraus rep pretty well told me that this was not THEIR problem and that I needed to address the issue directly with Amazon or my actual Amazon seller who was Build.com. So I called up Build.com and told them what Kraus had said about this unit. The Build.com rep was very helpful, cordial and understanding, and he told me that they sell many of these units and this is the first time he'd ever heard of any problems of this nature. He even jumped on the web and checked out Kraus' installation guide to confirm what I was telling him was correct. He apologized and said he could understand why I was upset. In fact, he put in a request to have the information on this unit updated on their website asap to include this. I asked him if I could perhaps exchange the unit or something, and he asked me when I bought it. Unfortunately, while they have a pretty liberal 60-day return policy, I was outside of that time-limit, so he apologized again but said his hands were pretty well tied. He suggested that since this is a very popular seller, that I try to sell it on Craigs List or something. I'm not trying to write a book here, lol, but I think this is something that I definitely feel all potential buyers should be made aware of as I'd almost bet a number of them have laminate countertops. Like I indicated, I would NOT have purchased this item if I had known that but now I'm stuck. Don't end up like me.
