DOES YOUR DOG INHALE FOOD? Is your dog on a mission to finish his/her food even before you've straightened your back from putting the food down? or Have you wondered if your pooch was born with a disorder that has made them forget how to chew? or Have you got one dog who inhales food and then proceeds to steal your other dogs food? - Don't worry, almost every dog owner has been there. _ The PET IMPACT Slow Feeding Bowl for Dogs is here to help! QUALITY YOUR PET DESERVES Premium Grade Using materials derived from natural renewable resources Plastic-free packaging Comfortable Eating A full non-slip base to prevent sliding around during meals Heavy and wide-based for stability and no tipping over Safe Durability Thicker and stronger craftsmanship to prevent chewing, breaks, and risk of swallowing broken bits Read more MAKING MEALS SAFE & FUN On average, this bowl helps dogs extend their eating times by 10 to 15x !* * this is an average and can range depending on the breed of dog, and how skilled they are at retrieving food! _ Let this dog slow food bowl give you a peace of mind. _ VET SUPPORTED : 1. Dogs that eat too quickly can be more at risk of issues such as choke, regurgitation, vomiting, bloat, and gastrointestinal discomfort. This bowl has an optimal "sunlight" design that achieves the perfect balance of slowing eating down, while not becoming too much of a challenge that it evokes frustration. _ 2. Quality your pet deserves. Many similar bowls are made of thin plastic with small "non-slip" rubber stickers on their base, which easily come off and could be eaten. This Pet Impact bowl is made of thick and durable chew resistant material, with a fully attached non-slip ring around the base. However, it should be treated similar to a ceramic bowl - as while it is sturdy, it would not take a drop from a height very well. . . A PET IMPACT EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT, MADE FOR THE RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER . . Along with using renewable natural resources and having plastic free packaging, each bowl includes a donation to the Olive Ridley Project, a turtle rescue and rehabilitation charity.

I love the idea of this bowl regarding sustainability. There is a weight to it, so I thought it would last a while. One day, I found a crack in one of the bowls (we have 2). I think it must have dropped onto a concrete floor while the dogs were at daycare. It looks like a hairline fracture and there are no missing pieces. We'll keep an eye on it before replacing it. We have two coton de tulears and they are fast eaters. We adopted them in 2018 when they were 6 y.o., and after a couple of months, we got slow feeder bowls from them. They still eat fast, but it has slowed them down.Over the years my pup has become a super fast feeder. I had to hand feed her the first two years I had her. After that she started scarfing down her food, and lately, at 13+ years old its gotten worse. A few days before I purchased this bowl I watched her regurgitate her breakfast because she had eaten so fast. Her stools were solid and then loose at the end, and it almost seemed like she forgot I fed her at night, always begging for more later on. I immediately looked up slow feeder bowls and loved the more complicated design of this one and that it was bamboo fiber. Plastic holds bacteria and I would never buy it for my pup.I was more than impressed, not only has it slowed her eating by 10 fold. But her stools are looking so much better, and she is not begging for a second dinner like before.Highly recommend for any pup! This bowl gave results I didn't even expect!Vet tech of 8+ years, helicopter dog mom, I approve! It is heavy. Literally heavy and well made. Most of these slow feeders are flimsy plastic. It is deep and provides many crevices that slow my inhaling dog down. He ate scary fast until I got this one. It is just great in the dishwasher too, bottom drawer. Get one.Works great at slowing my dog down and the color is super cute. The only problem is it cracks/ breaks easily and becomes a hazard since the pieces are sharp. Don’t even know how it broke so I ordered another one because I liked it so much but that one fell and broke too. This was all in a matter of 3 weeks and I can’t keep purchasing it!We have a Norwich Terrier, a short-legged dog of around 28 lbs and 17 years, who is in excellent shape for his age, and he inhales his food so fast that we had to add water to his kibble or else he'd end up doing that horrible "reverse sneeze" that is so scary, every time he ate kibble. I put his kibble in the slow bowl, top it with some wet food, and let him enjoy his meal. He's still highly motivated and energetic in his eating, and really seems to enjoy it, but it takes him about four times as long to finish his bowl as it used to. No scary breathing issues from getting kibble dust hoovered up his nose! Success! And he's still a happy dog.The bowl doesn't move on the textured tile floor, even at his most energetic enjoyment of his meal, probably because it's fairly hefty and has a rubbery ring around the bottom. The smooth finish is easy to clean (like there's anything left on it). It's just the right size for him, which is a significantly bigger size than his old bowl to accommodate the raised ridges. This bowl does exactly what I hoped it would do and seems to be of very good quality. Looks just like the pictures. No surprises.Easy to clean and it does what it’s supposed to do. My dog has slowed down considerably when it comes to meal times.I like it that it is sturdy. The spaces are easy to clean between. It is deep enough to feed the dog enough food and she has yet to carry it around or chew on it. It does slow her down. I love that it is made from bamboo and not just plastic.Stopped the puppy from inhaling his food. This is really well made and feels a good quality. I gave my dog a few treats to try it out which was fine, it took him longer to eat them than usual, so i then gave him his meal of chicken and veg. He ate for about one minute, then got frustrated and flipped the bowl upside down and ate the rest of it off the floor!!Its not the bowls fault, it is actually quite solid and a good weight, i just have a sneaky Lurcher! Unfortunately, I can see him doing this for every meal now.As a footnote, it is quite hard to clean and dry, but you have to expect that. (I actually bought another make at the same time, but is is not as good as this one, even though this one is a little more expensive)I was ecstatic to find this eco-friendly slow feeder for my Boston Terrier as he eats like there is no tomorrow. Having gastro issues where he randomly regurgitates, I figured a slow feeder would help with it. The first time he ate on the plate he went from gobbling his food in a minute or less to FORTY minutes! Insane!! The second time around, it was a much better time (didn’t time it but around 15mins, perhaps?) This is also when, at the very end, he figured he could flip the plate. By his third and last meal, he took only 5mins, and that is because he flipped the plate on min 4. I’d have loved to keep the plate and was even looking to buy the matching water bowl but I can’t have a messy floor four times a day for the next 7 years, unfortunately. If you don’t have a clever Boston or your dog is better mannered when it comes to meal times, I would 100% recommend! My German Shepherd puppy was having hiccups after every meal because of just how fast he was inhaling his food. I did some research on slow feeding bowls, but was disappointed by how many of them were made from plastic. I was happy to find this one, as it looked promising and is made from environmentally friendly bamboo. It works fantastically, the puppy’s eating time has lengthened considerably, albeit he wasn't quite sure what to make of this new torture device I had introduced. The hiccups are gone, and now a feedback loop of work and reward has been introduced into his meals, which is ideal for growing a puppy.
